My initial research had informed me that Geiger tubes were plentiful on eBay, as were circuits that could use them. My goal was to customize a Geiger circuit to feed counts back to a Raspberry Pi Zero and integrate some other sensors into a single instrument.
My first lab notebook entry is dated January 22, 2018. To place this date in context, classes did not officially begin until January 29. I was so excited to begin that I was brainstorming a week before the start of the semester.
